Is there a website or reference document that explains what all of the VBA Error codes actually are ???

Of course, I'd never get an error code(hmmm) but Error Code 2042 doesn't really help much when trying to debug something when your code is pages and pages long.

Any pointers ?

Click the italics "fx" icon to the left of the formula bar to open the Functions Arguments dialog. Help is displayed for each argument.
This topic does not appear in the list if you search for it with the Answer Wizard (Excel2000). To find it choose Error Function from the list and click "See Also" at the top of the page.

Yeah, MS do seem to like to hide this away- I have Excel 2000 at home and spent nearly an hour the first time trying to find the list which appears more readily available in 97 and 2002.

I found a nice page recently. "Stumbled upon" is closer to the truth. I saved it, and wish I recorded the URL of it.

Anyway, the buzz phrase for successful searches on this page, and others that are word for word copies, is this:
"Trappable errors can occur while".

Here are some links, courtesy of Google:

HTML: http://216.239.37.100/search?q=cach...appable+errors+can+occur+while&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

MSDN, probably the original source:

Somebody put some effort into this:

After finding all these, I still think the page I saved is the best. One page, with links to "jump" to the explanations. If anyone wants it, private message me, with your email address, I will send it to you as an attachment.

I guess I could post it to my webspace.....but it wouldn't be there for long.

This post is almost 10 years old, and the poster hasn't been on the forum since 2003... ;)
