Sorting data?

I'm working on a pilot logbook in Excel.

Right now I have some columns with data that I would like to manipulate.

For example Column C contains registrations.

What I would like to do is go through the column, extracting unique registrations, and putting them in their own column.

I would then count the number of flights per plane.

i.e.
Column C contains the following: FILQ, FQHT, FQHT, FIMM, FILQ

I want to create a column with only: FILQ, FIMM, FQHT

Is there a way to do this? Preferably as a forumla and not a macro.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Try Advanced Filter. Go to Data, Filter, Advanced Filter. Choose "Unique records only", and "Copy to" (the last to move to a new column).
