Okay this is a simplified example of what I'm trying to do...

A1=Date of signature
B1=Version Date
C1=Correct Version Y/N?

In a separate worksheet called 'versions' I have....
D1=Document version (also a date)
E1=Effective Date
F1=Expired Date

Essentially I want excel to automatically determine if an individual signed the correct version of a document based on the effective and expired dates in the 2nd worksheet 'versions'.
First I want it to determine the correct version date (D1) based on comparing the date of signature (A1) to the range of dates (E1 & F1) associated with a particular version. THEN I want it to compare what that correct version (D1) should be to what was actually used (B1) and input a yes or no into C1.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help!!
