Hi,
I have an issue where cells with 'Congos Controller' data turns to '#NAME' when I open the file on my local excel (i.e. outside of Cognos Controller).
This has only been an issue since upgrading to Excel 2010 (Cognos uses 2007).
I believe that when you open an excel file previously saved on an older version of excel, it recalculates.
I have found and tried the fix below without any success.
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21367273
1. Launch Windows Registry Editor (Windows Start button -> Run... -> type: regedit)
2. Navigate to the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\[OfficeVersionNumber]\Excel\Options" key, where [OfficeVersionNumber] has to be matched with the version number of your installed MS Office.
[OfficeVersionNumber]
Office 2003 -> 11.0
Office 2007 -> 12.0
Office 2010 -> 14.0
Office 2013 -> 15.0
3. Insert a new DWORD value:
- Value name: FullCalc******OldFile
- Value type: REG_DWORD
- Value data: 0
4. Navigate to the "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Office\[OfficeVersionNumber]\Excel\Options" key, where [OfficeVersionNumber] has to be matched with the version number of your installed MS Office.
5. Insert a new DWORD value:
- Value name: FullCalc******OldFile
- Value type: REG_DWORD
- Value data: 0
I look forward to advice you may have.
Many thanks,
Len
