When I create a query and start typing in something in the criteria, Access is anticipating what I’m typing and auto-filling a name. How do I turn it off? 2007 version did not do this! Thanks for any help in advance.

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
I'm not finding anything that allows you to turn off this feature. You might have to just live with it.

I'm not sure I see any big problem though. Intellisense is a normal part of Excel, Excel VBA, and Access VBA (and many other programs behave in the same way). If you want to type something other than what appears in Autocomplete you can just keep typing.

All I can say is it's still a pain in the neck, but you CAN hit ESC and tab out of the criteria field with the text you've typed, rather than the auto fill replacement.
