Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
You can create a report with the data you want and then use the export to Word or Excel button at the top of the report. Then create some macros in your personal.xls that you could run and save the excel file as a new name . This has worked for me fine. Just have to get the report formatted so that the excel file comes out like you want it.

BTW i am using access and excel 2000, not sure if that feature is in 97

Goto Data-->Get Extarnal Data-->New Database Query-->Microsoft Access. Follow the wizard from there to pull your Access Query info into Excel.

Once done, record a macro doing Data-->Refresh Dataa and you should be good to go.

Hope that helps,

Smitty
