Hello, I 'm very new to access 2010 ,but i've been using excel 2010 for a long time.
In excel there is GROUP/UNGROUP feature which enables me to temporarily hide/unhide a section of a sheet ,rows or columns.
Example: hide /unhide rows 5-10 , 15-20, is very easily done with just couple of clicks.

Is is possible to do that in access table?

I have 200 employees database. ID 1-200.
Can i hide/unhide ID 20-30........40-50.... without creating queries or other tables?

Thank you.

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Access does not work like a spreadsheet. The simple answer is no. You could, however filter your table similar to filtering in Excel. The bigger question is why would you want to. Tables are not usually viewed by users. The means to look at data should be through forms, queries and reports. Tables are used in RDBMS to store data only. This is considered good db management.

I agree that in general filtering is the way to go. Just filter on greater than 20 and less than 30, etc.

In Access queries are what you should use for any data retrieval from tables.

Learning how to use criteria in a query (SQL) to select records is one of the most important/critical skills you will need to learn when working with any relational database, including Access.
