How do I add a two color gradient fill to a cell on a Mac Excel 2011? I can only figure out how to add it to a shape or a chart, but I need to add it to a single cell.

Thank you!

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Hi, use conditional formatting. Style 2-Color Scale.

That doesn't seem to be adding the gradient, but is just changes the fill colors on the row to two different colors.

Try using the Data Bars conditional format. That supports gradient fill in Excel 2011.
