How do I add to a total eg
A1 =10 B1=10 , A1+B1= 20 - what want to do is add to the total - add another 10 then antother to get total of 40.

Thought it woul be simple but it has me stumped

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
I know you want a total of 40 but I do not understand the logic behind your calculation...
A1 is 10 and B1 is 10
why should your total become 40?

do you want to keep incrementing the total by the sum of A1 and B1
ie C1= 20, D1 = 40, E1 = 60 etc

OR do you want different values in those cells?
OR do you want C1 to keep increasing by 20?
