Hello,
I have a list of sku numbers in column A (example N02345, LN0345)
I need to assign a, b, c, etc to the end when the sku appears more than once.

I found some possible solutions in another thread, but they don't work.
Maybe because my sku numbers start with letters?

=A2&CHAR(64+COUNTIF(A$2:A2,A2))
=A2&LOOKUP(COUNTIF($A$2:A2,A2),{1,2,3,4,5},{"A","B","C","D","#"})

Excel Facts

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Perhaps:

=A2&IF(COUNTIF(A$2:A2,A2)=1,"",CHAR(63+COUNTIF(A$2:A2,A2)))

Do you need to allow for the possibility of more than 26 duplicates?

Solution
Thanks! Stephen yours seemed to not add the letter after, but BSALV's solution works perfectly.
