assign blank to E1 cell value (C1 Lis t= E1) without using formula because it returns zero

The goal of this project is simple: Make the cell E1 (cell in red) default to an empty cell if the cell it is referring to(C1), the cell in green does not have any selection.

The following do NOT ok:
1. Setting the defaults in excel to not show cells with 0 values.
2. Do not suggest that we use a marco. I want a simple solution.
3. Do you use IF( D2 = 0, "", D2), we don't want any formulae.

Here is how you know you did it right. Save the file and open it with notepad, if you don't see a 0, you got it right and we will pay you right away.

a better test would be: Save the file as a .csv and check the 6th column (in notepad) and it should be empty.

I would like E1 to return a blank value, because it returns 0 (zero)

Right click cell E1, select Format Cells, in the number tab select Custom and then in the Type: put 0;-0;;@
