Assigning a value from hidden cell

I am attempting to run the following line of code:

Code:
ActiveSheet.Range("AI18").Value = ActiveSheet.Range("A2").Text
The only catch is that both "AI18" and "A2" are hidden cells. When I run this code the values don't translate unless the reference cells are not hidden. Is there a workaround to this problem?

austin350s10,
I have run into this with one of my programs. Try unhiding the cells with a line of code just before the line of code you wrote and immediately rehide them afterwards. When the macro executes, it will happen so quickly, no one will see it when the program is run.
