Hello - Looking for a solution:
At work we are assigned by suppliers based on Alpha. Currently I have a list of suppliers (see example below) In another report, I do a VLOOKUP by Supplier ID which searches my list below and assigns it to the appropriate person in a pivot I created. However, if a supplier is new (and not on my currently listing), it falls to the bottom of my pivot....which is fine, I just add them to my list for the next day. HOWEVER, what formula can I use to say....Any supplier beginning with A,B etc... belongs to say 'Joe' and Any supplier beginning with E,F,G,H,I belongs to 'Mary'. That way I don't have to list every single supplier to my listing.
Instead of the spreadsheet below, I'd like to have a formula that just assigns based on the first letter only.
