I am using a VBA to keep track of all changes done in aworkbook (like an audit trail). I have found this macro on the internet and itworks great for a single worksheet but I encounter problems when I try to useit to keep track of changes in several worksheets. Note that changes to anysheet causes changes to other sheet there are formulas in each worksheets thatreferences other worksheets.

I did modify the code a bit to account for the fact that Ineed to keep track on several sheets. Namely, I have changed dArr and for dArr2and dArr3 in each worksheet modules. I did the same for nArr. I have alsochange the coordinate reference “I” and “j” for “k” and “l” and “m” and “n” ineach worksheet modules. Moreover, I have added dArr2=Sheets(“Sheet2”) .UsedRangeand dArr3= Sheets(“Sheet3”) .UsedRange in the workbook module.
If I close the workbook, then open it again, performing anychange returns the error Run-time error ‘13’: Type mismatch. And the debuggerindicates dArr2=Empty, dArr3=Empty and dArr=Empty, in this order.

Here is where it gets interesting:

If I open the workbook which opens on Sheet1 and I simplyselect Sheet2 and single click on any cell, then move to Sheet3 and again singleclick on any cell, then go back Sheet 1 and single click on any cell, thenstarts making changes on Sheet1, then, the Audit Trail works perfectly. Itappears dArr, dArr2 and dArr3 do not get assign values otherwise.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hi there. A quick thought. Why not modify your workbook open macro to activate sheet2 and select a cell, activate sheet3 and select a cell, then return to sheet1. From what you say, this should fix it (although its not a real solution to whats happening of course).
