I hate to ask for help again so soon, but this one is tricky for me.

I am needing to create a formula or macro that will look at a product number in a specified cell that user will enter, such as 200, 300, 400, and then with that number be able to have Excel automatically fill out several other cells that are already limited to responses in DV drop down lists. Any ideas?

I've considered using IF formulas inside the DV, but that will still mean the user will have to click on the cell to manually fill out the data even if it has been limited to one choice.

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Why don't you use a simple vlookup to return results or an INDEX-MATCH;

Thank you for the quick response GK039. I have thought that would be one way to go, but perhaps I left out the some important information. I am adding onto a sheet that its first purpose is to help user find the correct product, or package by asking a series of questions. I used DV drop down lists for the answers like, yes, no, sizes. Those answers will give us and end result. So now, we want to be able to reverse the process. I want to take the end result, and then have the end result auto-fill the answers to the questions that would have gave us the end result.

I'm sorry, I did not have time to add earlier that I do know how to use the vlookup and the index-match formulas, but I am just not sure how to go about taking the information from the tables I would create, and then have it auto-fill the cells that are DV limited.
