Hi All,

When opening a workbook I want excel to automatically enter the value '1' into a cell of a certain sheet - for example cell A1 in sheet 'Mechanics'.

How do I do this?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Hi Pondcroft13,

Try:

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Sheets("Mechanics").Cells(1, 1) = 1
End Sub
