Is it possible to have Column E automatically enter a value based on a 4 digit number inserted into Column C?

I have about 200 different 4 digit numbers that can be entered into Column C and 8 different corresponding values that need to appear in Col E... Would this be possible / difficult?

Thanks. :)

<s>You're awesome, man, that works almost perfect!

However, is there any way for me to protect only that column? It seems that when I do your method I can edit the value contained in all the other cells, but I can not change cell sizes, text sizes, colors, etc...

Basically, I can't do anything but enter data once I have "protected" the sheet doing what you said...

Any ideas?

Thanks again.</s>

I figured this one out, too... It was confusing me that if I checked Locked Cells it would automatically select Unlocked cells... Then I figured out if I checked the boxes below them it granted that permission...

Silly me. =D

Thanks, y'all.

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
<s>Also, I was trying to add to the formula to add a second column that would automatically insert data... Is it possible to have two columns do this or would this require VB scripting or something similar?

Thanks and sorry for all the questions.</s>

Disregard... I figured this one out, amazingly enough. =D
