I would like to calculate the average positive numbers and average negative numbers from colums G4 to G14.

Excel Facts

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
For positive numbers:
Code:
=AVERAGEIF(G4:G14,">=0")
For negative numbers:
Code:
=AVERAGEIF(G4:G14,"<0")

Assuming that the question was asked accurately, that would actually be
=AVERAGEIF(G4:G14,">0")
OP didn't say if zeroes should be included. I assumed they should be.

OP didn't say if zeroes should be included. I assumed they should be.
But the OP did say they wanted to average the positive numbers, which zero is not a member of.
