I have a workbook with 4 tabs that I weekly have to copy then paste special: Values in order to break the link from the source. Otherwise the following week when new data is populated it will be replaced. The historical data needs to be kept.

Is there a more efficient way to break the link and keep the value?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
No. Why don't you like that method?

because it has to do it in four different tabs each week, just trying to see if that is the only way to do it or if it can me done more efficiently. and with it being manual there maybe an opportunity for a mistake.

and maybe paste special is the only way, just wanted to see.
