Hi
Excel define Bold as a variant. Yet the example below (from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/vba/api/excel.font.bold)
Assigned True to Bold!! So why excel did not define Bold as a Boolean? It would make sense to be define as Boolean. Thank you. what does it mean a variant variable value = True? Thanks.

Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("A1:A5").Font.Bold = True

It looks like VB thinks it is declared as a Boolean...

MsgBox TypeName(Range("A1").Font.Bold)

I think that only demonstrates that the variant contains a Boolean value. To demonstrate:

Code:
Sub testi1()
Dim v As Variant
v = True
MsgBox TypeName(v)
End Sub
