it is a long time since i used excel, and i am a little rusty.

Let us imagine we have the following scenario:

start end time worked total phone time phone time %
09:00 17:00 08:00 04:00 50%

How do I get the phone time % to calculate the time difference automatically, bearing in mind that the other cells are formatted as times.

_______

secondly. Whilst the above will work on percentage for a particular day, i will also need to show percentage of phone time percentage for the week (5 days at 7.5 hours each).

thirdly. the above two areas will be replicated for several staff members. I then need to calculate comparison percentages between staff members for both day by day and also the entire week.

I hope this makes some sort of sense.

many thanks

Welcome to MrExcel.

You can just divide phone time by time worked and format as Percent. Times are only numbers displayed in a special way.
