I would like to protect the formatting of some cells where I copy data from another worksheet but don't want that particular format in the current worksheet. How do I do this? I have tried Conditional Formatting but this doesn't work. I just want to enter in text and not change the template that I have made. Thanks for any help!

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
When you Copy and Paste, choose Paste Special - Values

Copy as normal,
Right Click where you want to paste, choose Paste Special, Values, OK.

Use... edit / paste special / values.
this will not transfer the formatting from the donor sheet, and will keep the formatting of the recipient sheet
