Hello,

I have some hidden and grouped rows, sometimes there are numbers present within those cells. I am looking to setup a VBA method to check if there are numbers exist within those cells.

Something like this:

For each cell in selection

If number exist within hidden/grouped cells then msgbox True.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
VBA below returns message box with number of non-visible cells containing numeric values withing specified range
VBA Code:
Sub MessageBox()
    Dim rng As Range, vis As Range, cRng As Long, cVis As Long, c As Long
    Set rng = Range("C2:Z20")
    Set vis = rng.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeVisible)

    cRng = WorksheetFunction.Count(rng)
    cVis = WorksheetFunction.Count(vis)
    c = cRng - cVis
    If c > 0 Then MsgBox c & " non-visible cells in " & rng.Address(0, 0) & " contain numbers"
End Sub

Thanks very much, Yongle. It's perfect.
