Good Evening friends,
I have small problem in excel..
i want to autoupdate values in same cell.
for example,

A B
1 US$ EURO
2 10 9.20

I want a result like... if i enter a value in A2 (i.e. USD value) then B2 (EURO) would update automatically... and vis-versa...

I would very much appreciate if anyone can help me out...

Thanks in advance...

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Hi,

This is not a circular reference case as you can not have formula in both cells. You can do it via the sheet Change event.

What is the exchange rate and where is it located (cell address)?

do you want this exchange to occur in A2 and B2 only?

Dear Mohammad Basem,

What i have given is for example... the criteria is in any cell.... i have 2 cells... and i want to update the figure.. vis-e-versa...
lets say... currency rate is... for example...
1 USD = 3.75 SAR....
it can be multiple currency

appreciate for your reply...

Best Regards,

Thank you for your reply.

In this case you need to specify the columns where this operation will be carried out.

Example:
Column A: First currency
Column B: Second currency
Column C: Exchange rate

So if you enter a value in column A, this value will be multiplied by the exchange rate and put into Column B. While if you enter a value in column B, the value will be divided by the exchange rate and put into column A.

You might need, as well, two additional columns for the names or IDs of the first and second currencies.
