Coloring Cells by matching a list of names

I have a list of symbols in Col A (from row 3 to 500). I also have lists of symbols in Cols D through AE, each of various lengths (500 max). I need a macro or Conditional formating strategy that will color those cells in the table that match those in Col A. Shown here is such a match with "A" whose cell changed to red.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.

Select column D through AE and
Use below formula in conditional formatting.

Excel Formula:
=COUNTIF($A$3:$A$500,G1)>0
