When I opened this work sheet it changed my column references to numbers and converted the formulas to R[-3] type.

How do I get it back to default letters????:mad:

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Click the Office button (top left), click Excel Options, click Formulas, uncheck R1C1reference style, click OK.

You are welcome. Take care if you ever receive a spreadsheet from Israel or some other countries - everything is from right to left :eeek:
