Combine Average with If(Iserror ???

Hi All,

I'm having a bit of a brain freeze here, does anybody know if it is possible to use the if(iserror function when combined with Average? So for example

=if(iserror(average(A1:A3),"TBA",average(A1:A3)

I tried putting this into Excel, but it won't take, not sure If I am just writing this badly or whether you are just unable to combine the two?

Any help would be appreciated

Try...

=IF(ISNUMBER(AVERAGE(A1:A3)),AVERAGE(A1:A3),"TBA")
