Hi,
I am a beginner Excel user and I have been researching a problem. I cannot figure it out so I thought I would ask this forum.
I am looking to combine a COUNTIF and an IF statement into one formula to arrive at my answer (Yes or No) for a survey type of project.
Basically, I want to count the number of cells with a "Yes" and if the count of the "Yes"value within those cells is >1, then I want to populate a separate field with a "Yes"; if not, then "No".

If you have any guidance on this it would be highly appreciated; although I might kick myself in the rear end for researching it for ~6 hours.

I installed the Add-in so I am hoping you can see the challenge I'm articulating.

Thanks.
Mike

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
When using the mini-sheet you need to select a range of cells, not just one.

How about
Excel Formula:
=IF(COUNTIFS(A:A,"Yes")>1,"Yes","No")

Thanks a ton! Yes, I realized that I made an error in posting just 1 of the cells. Next time I'll know. Thanks again. I couldn't find this formula anywhere so I guess I am not to ashamed.
