Command button text missing

I duplicated a work sheet with the intention of using the same macros but on the copied sheet only.
However, the text has disappeared on all of the buttons of the new sheet and I don't know why.

All the buttons seem to still work.

NB: The button names are the same as the original sheet they were copied from, but the macro runs independently on each worksheet.

Has anyone encountered this before?

What type buttons?
How did the buttons get their names?

Thanks for getting back to my post.

- I copied the worksheet tab and made a duplicate.
- ActiveX command button.
- I renamed the buttons so I could quickly identify them & their location on the worksheet (I have 20 of them in use per worksheet).

Please explain exactly what you did to make a duplicate.
Did you right click on the tab and choose Move or copy and then choose Create a Copy.

When I do that my Activex buttons do not loose their names

That's pretty much what I did.

Its just the caption of the command buttons that's missing.
The button just shows up as being grey without any text.
They still function though.

I have toggle buttons in the worksheet too, and they were fine.

I have since deleted the duplicate worksheet and started over again, and it worked fine the second time.
I can't explain why, but at least that's it sorted now.
