Communication between sheets

Hello This is Rohit...
I have a project in my college in which i need to do the following. Please help

I have a task in which I need to communicate between the sheets.. I have a unique ID in each worksheet through which I can identify which record to be edited in the other worksheet... So I have a number x with unique ID 5000 (for example)in sheet1... I have a number y with unique ID 5000 in sheet 2.... when I change x in sheet 1, the number y in worksheet 2 must change to (y-x) ...
I want these cells to be related... basically a macro which will subtract the value x from corresponding cell automatically whenever x is changed...

Buongiorno,

can you use vlookup function?
In the sheet2 - the column B
=VLOOKUP(A2;Sheet1!$A$2:$B$500;2;0)

in the sheet2 column C the other formula you need (=c2-b2:maybe).

Thankks for the very neccessary input. I have tried the same....

It gives me an error when I type the formula you gave me;
"The formula you typed contains an error"

Can you make a small excel sheet and mail me at rohitbisani@gmail.com, so that I am able to understand it better... It would be of great help...
