I was wondering if you could figure out what was wrong with the following command:

=(COUNTIF($D$4:$D$68,"JC"))+(COUNTIF($G$4:$G$68,"JC"))+(COUNTIF($J$4:$J$68,"JC"))+(COUNTIF($M$4:$M$68,"JC"))+(COUNTIF($P$4:$P$68,"JC"))+(COUNTIF($S$4:$S$68,"JC"))+COUNTIF($V$4:$V$68,"JC")

Whenever I add "JC" to one of the cells in the formula it pops up with this error message: "Compile error: Expected: line number or label or statement or end of statement"

Thanks for your help!

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
what cell is this formula in? I just copied and dropped into a blank sheet and it worked fine.

It's actually working now... I think maybe it was related to the macro I had open as well? Sorry about that
