Complicated Excel Formula (Drag Down) Needed.

My answers are highlighted in green.
So I would need an answer that has E765 in the equation
since that is the first cell number.

Isn't that a format thing? not a formula thing?

What is complicated about that? You don't even need a formula, you can apply a custom format of 00000000.000 to the original parcel numbers.

No it's not a format thing. I have "TEXT" formatted versus NUMBER.

If the values in column D are text, not numbers, then try
=TEXT(D765,"00000000.000")

also i didnt ask for a formatting- genius- i have like 200 separate excel files....
So, it's quicker to copy and paste a formula then to format each one.

Did you ever think of that?

Also, you are assuming that I am an Excel wiz which is just plain-out rude.

If I was a wiz, why would I be asking all of the nice people on here?
