Concat function missing in 365

Both me and my co-worker are using 365, and we have both verified we are on the same updated version. We have a shared workbook that has multiple concat functions and just recently ran into an issue. On his machine he gets the xlfn prefix to the concat functions. This workbook had worked for both us previously, as well as other co-workers. After noticing this, we tried adding a concat formula to a new workbook on his machine and concat was missing, only concatenate was an available choice. I realize we can update all the formulas to use concatenate instead, but we have numerous other workbooks that we would have to update as well. Is there a compatibility mode or something that we might be overlooking that is causing his Excel to have missing/incompatible functions?

Does your co-worker have the Textjoin function, or the Unique function?

That sounds as though he is not using 365, but probably 2016 or earlier.

Solution
We did a screen comparison, under account settings. Both show Microsoft 365 Version 2303 (Build 16227.20258)

That is definitely odd. There is noway to "remove" functions that I know off.

You were correct. Even though the both showed the same build and version yesterday, today it was showing 2016. He used a new account and was able to get it back to 365. Thanks again for your help!
