Hi

How would I write a formula for conditional format that will highlight a number in a range that is between what is in AI and A2.
A1 and A2 have results from formulas
Would it also be possible to have the curser go to that cell that is highlighted

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Let's say that you want to apply this to the range B2:D100.
Then select that range, and enter this Conditional Formatting formula:
Excel Formula:
=AND(B2>=$A$1,B2<$A$2)
and choose your desired highlighting color.

Note that when applying the formula to a multi-cell range, you need to write the formula as it applies to the first cell in that range you have selected.
So if your range starts in say, cell C4, you would change the "B2" in that formula to "C4".

Would it also be possible to have the curser go to that cell that is highlighted
That would require VBA. Conditional Formatting cannot do that.

Hi Jo4, Happy New Year
Thank you, That is what I wanted
Hi Fluff, Happy New Year
I thought I would have the sheet open on the result of the conditional format. I don't know how to word the macro to go to the highlighted cell or if its possible because the cell format is changed because of CD
