conditional formating

Hello how can i do conditional formatting when the same character appear 4 time in a row in let say row B3 to b24
i tries different thing but what i found is only for a column

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

Yes like this. But where are the "X" that you want to check for conditional formatting?

C4 to V4
and each row like this
D4 to V4 etc...
I can't help without proper sample data. Earlier you said B3:B24 which is 1 column now you are talking different.

Hope someone better than me is able to help you.

Select cells C4:R16 and then choose conditional formatting

Then choose Classic

then Use formula and paste there

Hope I'm giving correct steps for Excel 365
