Hi all,

I'm doing some analysis of data from two measurement systems, I want to see if the two processes are getting results within 10% of the allowed tolerance.

The below link is what I'm dealing with in excel.

Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

I'd like to use conditional formatting to change the 'status' column to go red if the value in D2 is greater than the value in G2, I managed to do this for row2, but couldn't get it to go down the entire data set, without creating a rule for each row (i don't want to do this as I have 850+ lines of data to check).

I've searched online and found a few answer but they all only seemed to check the first row, or they didn't include a third column like I want to.

Hope I explained that clearly, any help is appreciated.

Hello,

Select your range H2:H900 ... and for your formula use =$D2>$G2 ...

Thanks for the reply,

I've tried this one and all it does is checks all the values in D2:900 to be greater than the value in G2, instead of checking D2 against G2, D45 against G45, etc.

Any ideas why?

Forgot to mention ... that, before adding this formula... you should select your column H and Clear Rules from Selected sheets ....

With several tests ... confusion can quickly become crazy ...

I HAD forgotten to do that! But after clearing the format, it's still doing the same thing, it seems to just be looking for G2, instead of D45/G45, D32/G32 :(
