conditional formatting based on a date in a cell above

Hi,
I have a row (1) with the dates of the month and below a row (2) with values.
I want to format the second row based on the date in row 1.
If the date is before today or not.

How can I do this?

conditional formatting with formula
if dates in A1 to J1, select A2 and drag to J2 and then goto conditional formatting.

Thanks for your reply. But this formula highlight only the cell before today.

The goal is to highlight all the cells before today and afhter today.

remove all ", couldnt type the formula in here without them..
