Conditional Formatting for rows based upon column value

Please help! We have a spreadsheet we're using to track testing results. There are several columns that include headings of issue number, issue description, reported date, etc. and one is used for "Closed Date". Here is what we would like to do. If the column that holds the "closed date" has a date in it, we would like that row to display in a gray value so that we know it is closed and we can ignore it. Does this make sense? I can apply this conditional formatting to a single row if I use the following conditional formatting:

Formula Is =$F$4<>0 ... and then I apply the formatting I want.

However, I want this to apply to all rows, not just one. Any ideas?

If you select all your rows then you only need to apply the conditional formatting that pertains to the "active cell" so if your range is from row 4 to row 400 select those rows and apply

Formula Is =$F$4<>0

I think that you might actually want (after selecting, say, rows 4 to 400, or a range like A4:H400) the Conditional Formatting formula: =$F4<>0
Otherwise all rows will be grey if the one cell ($F$4) has a date in it.
