I need to make all cells in a row a certain color if I enter any text in a certain cell in the row. Conditional formatting doesn't seem to accommodate?

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi and welcome to the board!!!
Actually, CF will do this quite easily. You will need to use a formula!! What column is the one to look at? When you say "Text" do you mean any entry, or ONLY text entries (So numbers would not apply)

Assuming your entry cell is A1.

In the Conditional Formatting dialogue box, seelect the formula is option

=istext($A$1), select your desired format

copy cell A1

select the entire row, and Paste Special, Formats

Thanks for the welcome and the replies. When I said "text", I meant any entry...as long as the cell is not null.
