I want a conditional formula that if I input anything into Column D, then the corresponding cell in Column B will get a strikethrough:

So if I input a date in Cell D7, then Cell B7 will receive a strikethrough.

Thanks

Louis

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
in your conditional format for B7

Choose 'Formula Is' and then type =IF(D7<>"",TRUE,FALSE)

Add the format of a strikethrough

and your done.

This can be copied all the way down column B if you need

Hi,

The concept of conditional format is to test a formula to be true or false.
=$D1="" is enough
no need to use a "normal" formula
=IF(...,True,False)

When trying to find a formula for conditional format, you can fill in the raw formula in any cell to test. (displayed result will be TRUE or FALSE)

kind regards,
Erik
