Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone is able to help me.

I want to create a data validation list using a table as a source for the data.
My excel workbook has a table called "AllAssets" which contains various columns of data.
i want a list box that will display only values from the "Asset Tag" column where the corresponding value in the "Type" column = "Desktop"

Asset TagType
MRL1001Printer
MRL1002Desktop
MRL1003Desktop
MRL1004Printer
MRL1005Desktop

<tbody>
</tbody>

in the example table above, the list box needs to only display MRL1002, MRL1003 and MRL1005 from the "Asset Tag" column because it matches "Desktop" in the "Type" column.

How can this be achieved in Excel 2007?

Cheers.

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Thanks SteveO59L for your response.
I have had a look in the linked thread you posted and I couldn't see how to make it work.

I only want a single drop down list box, not multiple list boxes linking to each other.
i.e. a single list box that would only list specific items from Column A if the adjacent cell in Column B matched a value of "Desktop".

It's probably something easy to do, but I just don't know how to make it work.

Cheers.
