I'm a bit embarassed to say I can't figure this out. I need to copy a formula down through a whole column, but double clicking the handle only copies down to the next header, which is a merged cell. I then need to copy and paste special in the next row under the header and repeat after every header.
This brings two questions:
1. How can I copy the formula down through the whole document?
2. How can I paste more than once without having to copy the original cell more than once?

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN

merged cells should be avoided, more trouble then their worth (in my opinion :))
for 2.
Try CTRL V instead of paste or enter this will keep the copy alive.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately I was not the creator of the document and am well aware of the trouble with merged cells. Current situation included!
