Hello All,

In VBA, is there another way to count the cell below to give the count of number of "/"? In this case, it should be 5, as I'm counting text that has been concatenated with the "/" as the separator.

I'm currently using this on the spreadsheet =LEN(C2)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(C2,"/",""))+1

Nancy Davolio / Barry Milo / Nolan Mike / Mcdowell Cesar / Zimmerman Colby

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
How about
VBA Code:
   Dim x As Variant
   x = Split(Range("C2"), "/")
   MsgBox UBound(x) + 1
