COUNTIF not working for highlighting Triplicates

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
I can't look at your link from work it is blocked for me, but your formula is only going to give your for a result greater than 3, if you want to include 3 as well then change the ">" to ">="

Try this

=COUNTIF($A$2:$A$16,A2)>=3

Applies to:

=$A$2:$A$16
