I want to calculate the number of times there is a cell contains some data i.e. is not blank within a range. I should know but I don't, any help appreciated.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
How about just ..

=COUNTBLANK(A1:A10)
for blanks.

=COUNTA(A1:A10)
for text/numbers.

=COUNT(A1:A10)
for numbers only.
