Hello all,

I have a spreadsheet that I am trying to count the number of days in one column from last entry to TODAY(). I have a date column and then a second column that has delivery amounts. This second column is ONLY used when a delivery is made. I would like to count the number of days from last delivery to TODAY(). I can get the CountBlank to work, but not as a floating count. Also, is there a way to make it so that the formula covers the entire column, but only returns from the last delivery thru current date?

Thank you for your help,

Joe

Tetra201,

I copied the formula and when i tried to paste (CTRL+Shift+enter) nothing. No pasting at all. I even tried to close out workbook and reopen it. Still nothing. How do you enter formula manually?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.

Here is how: Copy the formula and paste it into the Formula Bar. Then press and hold Ctrl and Shift, then press Enter. If you did everything correctly, you should see the formula wrapped in curly brackets like this:

{=TODAY()-MAX(IF((B2:B1000<>"")*(A2:A1000<=TODAY()),A2:A1000))}

Tetra201,

finally got it to paste in. Unfortunately, it also gives me a value of -274, whereas from the last entry to today is a count of 17. (3/14/17 to 4/1/17)

the purchase column is false, date column is true.

tried to change format for purchase column to number -- still returns false

select an empty unused cell outside the data area, copy this cell, select purchase values, run paste special, choose add.
