In my company's reports we often have a source column that lists the formulas pertaining to the cell next to it.

example

Row item value source
9Total Market Value of Assetsxxxx(R7 + R8) * R2
10DifferencexxxxR9 - R6
11Enterprise Value from MultiplesxxxxR1
12Total Market Value of AssetsxxxxR7 + R11
13DifferencexxxxR12 - R6

<tbody>
</tbody>

Is there a way to write a VBA function that will automatically write that source of the referenced cell, and update it if the row number changes? meaning that it will look at the calculation in the cell and then replicated it using table row numbers.

Note, the source cell is referencing the Row # of the table, not the row # of the spreadsheet... such that table row 10 could be excel row 50.

Thanks for the help!

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
