When i down loaded a csv file and opened it in excel 2013 all data is loaded correctly in the excel worksheet. I.e all data is in columns and numerical values are displayed as numbers.
When I open a csv file in excel 2016 all data is displayed as comma delimited data in one row.

Is there a setting in excel 2016 that i can use to avoid the long process of converting data into colums

The question is why does it open in my version of excel 2016 as a comma delomted file
All info in one row

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
I don't understand your question
as in post#38 your csv is opened properly
maybe you should show example what you want to achieve?

I'll try again
did you double click your example csv file and what you see after that ?

what else you can do is update your Office 2016 to the last updates
