Customized Ribbon

I am using the app version of Office 365. I like to customize the ribbon to my specifications, but every so often the ribbon will revert back to its original form. Thus, losing all of my customizations.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to make it stop?

I see two options:

1. Export your current ribbon customizations:
   
   
2. Create an add-in which contains ribbonX code with all customizations you need and make sure that add-in loads into your Excel. See Change the Ribbon | Mac Excel Automation
