Data Pickup from 1Excel Sheet to another sheet

I have a querry where I needto pick some data from 1 sheet and put it into another sheet.
For example: Sheet 1 has data as John Smith in 1 coloumn and against this person there are various other datas in seperate coloumns.
Now in Sheet 2 I have just Smith's referance and I want to pick up some data's from sheet 1 related to John Smith.
